Municipal property renovation in Liepāja

The decision about renovating an old, abandoned municipality building was effectuated because the existing city council building is too small for all staff members. The building, which will be renovated, is big enough and very close to the existing city council building.

The property is very suitable as a city council building. As the property is located in a very nice place in the city centre, and tall enough to get a view of the Baltic Sea, great potential for representation and attracting tourists is present.

The municipality wants to renovate the property in accordance with the newest technologies, which are available in the market, following green procurement criteria and integrating as much renewable energy sources as possible. We plan for a rooftop restaurant with a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea. As the municipality have ambitious plans for this building, the procurement is very complex and challenging. It will take huge investments and lots of time to carry out this project.

The green public procurement for building renovation technical project is developed and announced.
