PRIMES and CoM - How to create synergy between activities
Regione Liguria at Forum Compraverde – Buygreen, Rome 1/2 October 2014
The Forum Compraverde - BuyGreen is the most important conference and exhibition dedicated to policies, projects, goods and services for private and public green procurement at Italian national level – the 7th edition took place in Rome on 1st/2nd October – and, especially this year, has been the place to discuss the possible scenarios for the development of GPP at national level, pending now the adoption of a new environmental law which could represent a turning point in the context of the Italian strategy for GPP.
During the Compraverde Forum Regione Liguria, which is one of the most experienced in Italy about green public procurement and is founding member of a dedicated network among Regions named "Rete Cartesio", was invited to share with other regions, local authorities, national institutions and professionals its activities and good practices in the field of GPP and discussed with the representatives of the Ministry of Environment and CONSIP (Italian national purchasing authority) about the national targets for 2020, the opportunities for the development of green economy, the possibilities and strategies to further promote green procurement and the synergies with the Covenant of Mayors, in the view of the transition of the country and, therefore, the public authorities, towards a sustainable society.
IRE spa, representing the project IEE – PRIMES (where also ANCI Liguria is partner), attended the Forum, the technical workshops and round tables among local and national institutions organized during the day of October 1, dedicated in particular to:
- LOW CARBON PROCUREMENT AS A TOOL FOR ACTION PLANS FOR SUSTAINABLE ENERGY (SEAPs)
- GPP IN REGIONAL POLICY: STATE OF THE ART AND PROPOSALS
During which the objectives of the project Primes were shared with the participants, in particular about the opportunities to create synergies with the CoM and the activites ongoing in Liguria, moreover this has been an occasion to talk with other public administrations about opportunites of collaboration, also through links with other cooperation projects.
